Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a frenuloplasty five days back, and everything went well every day until the third day when a white sticky layer started forming on the frenulum. Is it normal because it does not seem to wipe off like pus?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I reviewed your query. The white slough of dead tissue will fall off in a couple of days. Sometimes it is stuck there and is difficult to remove, but it will come out on its own. You will need to clean it with gauze and normal saline to allow proper healing. Also, continue your antibiotic course.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
