Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My frenulum snapped a couple of years ago and slowly my penis has become discoloured on the tip. It is light gray in colour and has now started forming two dark gray spots . It sometimes bleeds under the foreskin during intercourse and hurts. The foreskin has now begun to turn gray and tears during sex.

Please help me with this, doctor.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your concern in detail and will surely help you out.

My suggestion would be to avoid sexual intercourse for some time to promote healing of the area as repeated friction may aggravate the problem. Secondly, apply ointment Fucibet (Betamethasone and Fusidic Acid) twice daily and ointment Mupirocin twice daily on the affected area for seven days and take tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for seven days (consult with a specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and take the medication with their consent). This will heal the wound, and you will get better, but to know any hidden causes, you may require some blood tests like,

1) Fasting blood glucose levels.

2) Venereal disease research laboratory test (VDRL).

3) Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

4) Herpes simplex virus (HSV).

Get these tests done, and please share the reports with me. There is nothing to worry about as this will heal with these medications. Just avoid sexual intercourse for the time being.

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
