Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My pelvic region has some skin infection that is itchy, and I need to take Allegra 180 every night for the past 4 to 5 days to sleep, or else it itches badly. Please suggest some remedy.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You may be suffering from a fungal infection that commonly affects the inner thighs, groin, and buttocks area. It can be treated by a course of antifungal treatment, which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with steroid containing creams lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid-containing combination creams. Please call me or contact me using the online consult option with photos for a detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and other people living in the household.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for the reply. Please prescribe the medicines that I can order from the chemist. I do not use any over-the-counter medicine. I did apply T-bact for few days, but it did not help me at all.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com

You need to take some precautions for the complete cure.

  1. Avoid sharing towels and soaps.
  2. Avoid contact with pets.
  3. Check for any other family member with a fungal infection. Then, they should take treatment.
  4. Apply not only on the affected area but also on the surrounding normal area.
  5. Take Tablet Levosiz (Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride) 10 mg daily one tablet for 14 days.
  6. Apply Lulican cream (Luliconazole) for local application twice daily for one month.
  7. Take a shower twice daily.
  8. Dry your inners under the sun.
  9. Wear loose cotton clothes and avoid tight jeans.

I hope this helps.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Using Levocetirizine, the itching was reduced by 60 %. After 14 days I am back to severe itching. What should I do now?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Continue the cream for two months completely and if you still feel itching you can take the tablet Atarax 10 mg as and when required for icthing.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
