Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My skin is very sensitive, and I have got rashes on my buttocks that worsen after my periods get over. Kindly suggest ointment or medication to cure it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Kindly share the following details about your lesions. Is it annular or inflammatory ring-like lesion? Is it spreading to other parts of the body? Do you experience any itching? Do you experience scratching or rubbing? Is it due to occlusive wear or friction? Do you experience excess sweating? Also, please attach a clinical picture to get a definitive diagnosis.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

It is not easy to take pictures of buttocks. The lesion on the buttocks is red patchy, like an allergy with some dry white patches on it. Itching is severe. Can you please suggest medications based on the details that I have shared? Kindly help me with this.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You are suffering from a superficial fungal infection. I am suggesting the list of medications and some instructions that you need to follow. Apply Luliconazole cream at night for four weeks. Apply Mupirocin (Bactroban) ointment in the daytime for fifteen days. Apply Miconazole cream in the evening for four weeks. Use Ketoconazole soap for the bath for one month. Take Tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night after seven days (if itching). Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions. Keep your nails short. Avoid occlusion or friction. Wear loose, comfortable thin cotton inners. Avoid moisture, heat, or injury. Keep the area clean and dry. Maintain proper hygiene. Avoid activities that cause sweating. Stay in a well-ventilated room and calm environment. Avoid moisture as moisture favors fungal growth.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
