Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 24 years old. I have a frequent burning sensation in my chest soon after a meal. My diet regularly includes meat burgers, coke, salads, smoothies, hot dogs, pizza, fish, chips, and fries. Do I have acid reflux? Should I start taking antacids?

Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern. You have gastritis as your body secretes more acid. I suggest you to start antacids and avoid oily, spicy foods, and junk foods. Also, I suggest you get an upper GI (gastrointestinal) endoscopy.

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert in case of further questions. I wish you good health.

Thank you.
