Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am experiencing middle abdominal pain every morning, and generally it subsides by the end of the day. Sometimes it may stay and happen everal times a day. I have been suffering with this for a long time. What can be the reason for the pain and, what is the remedy?

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query,

It might be caused by indigestion or gastritis which can be caused due to various reasons such as eating oily or spicy food. Acids are produced as a result, which causes acidity and abdominal pain. I would suggest you drink plenty of water, and also do not go to bed straight after eating.

Please tell me do you have acidity or constipation?

Thank you.

The Probable causes

The probable cause is gastritis.

Investigations to be done

None.

Differential diagnosis

The differential diagnosis is gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Probable diagnosis

The probable diagnosis is abdomen pain in middle.

Treatment plan

I suggest you take one tablet of Pantoprazole before breakfast for five days.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
