Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 18-year-old, and I have been suffering from GERD for the last two to three years. I have tried everything like Pepto and eating slower. So when I eat breakfast depending on the food I eat I could feel nausea for the whole day or just for a little bit. When I eat food most of the time I feel bloated and nauseous. I feel gaggy in my throat too, but that could just be a thick spit problem. So I have indigestion, and GERD, I have tried Pepto, eating slower, and just trying to change my diet plans (keeps failing), and I am trying to eat slower (also fails). And sometimes when I do not eat I still feel gaggy in my throat and nauseous (sometimes).

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You seem to be having gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). I suggest you take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone for reflux. Also, you should take a soft and bland diet. You should also put a pillow below your head when you sleep. Make a habit to walk after all meals. More important here is to avoid alcohol and smoking in case you do. I would also suggest you take a soft and bland diet only. Always brush your teeth before you sleep. If you have any further queries, please ask me.

Thank you.
