Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

In the last two months, I am noticing that the shape of the tip of my penis is slightly changed. In addition, the meatus (penis hole) is bigger in comparison to two months ago. I did not have intercourse in the last two months. I only do masturbation two times a week with olive oil as a lubricant. I tried stopping masturbation for three weeks, but I did not see any healing. Is it something serious or rare to happen? Could I treat it with ointments, or does it need surgical treatment? Is there a chance that it grows further over time? I have attached three before and after pictures. Kindly guide me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The shape or size of the meatus (opening of the urethra) usually does not have any significant medical significance. As penis change size according to the sexual stimulus or even surrounding temperatures. Because of that, meatus can appear to change in size. So only size change does not require any specific treatment, neither does the shape of the glans of the penis. The frequency of masturbation or sexual activity does not affect meatus size. Need for treatment occurs if there is irritation or change in color of the glans penis (like a change from pink to white), any problem in urination, or some new growth over them. No significant abnormalities can be seen in the pictures you have shared (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). Still, confirmation can only be done by a physical examination by a urologist or surgeon. I hope this was helpful. Take care.
