Gum Infection

Gum infection occurs when bacteria enter the place between two teeth and the gums. An infected gum looks red and swollen and bleeds on gentle touch. If left treated, it can result in a collection of pus (gum abscess), or infect the periodontal ligaments (periodontitis).
