Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have pain, little but noticeable in my gum. It is not inflamed or red. What should I do? Is it infected? I need advice. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. If the lesion is white and painful, it can be the aphthous ulcer or canker sore. If there is no visible lesion as you said, the pain may be because of any dental infection. If the pain will be tooth related, your tooth may be tender if you press on it.

As your question is not clear about the area, whether it is swollen or not, how many days you feel it, I am unable to guide you in detail. Please reframe your query so that I may provide you better opinion. If you think the pain has infectious symptoms like swelling, interference with sleep cycle, fever, you need to take antibiotics like Augmentin 625 (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) twice daily for five days. Also, do saline gargles.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
