Hi doctor,
I am 30 years old, and my concern is severe hair fall. I have never faced such issues before. In the last three months, I have had sudden and severe hair fall. It looks scary, and I feel I may lose my whole hair if this keeps happening. How to stop this? I have not checked my blood reports in the last few years. I last did that when I delivered a baby at the age of 27. At that time, my blood reports were normal. Now, should I check that again? What would be the reason for my sudden hair fall? I do not have any other health issues, and my periods are regular too.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
There are many reasons for hair fall or thinning of hair on the scalp. So, first and foremost, we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium, etc. Unless we find and treat the cause, there is no point in giving non-specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed into the skin. Please send photographs for a proper diagnosis and a detailed prescription.
Revert back in case of more queries.
Kind regards.
