Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got hit in the head and there has been a bump on my head for five months. When I first got it, I could feel the blood move around in the bump. The other day, I did something I am not sure what but it felt tingly and it burned so bad. I do not take any medications and I am 16 years old and 140 pounds.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

So far, what you have mentioned is that you got a head injury about five months ago. As you have described there was a formation of a bump and there was fluctuation. It means the trauma on your head has lead to the formation of hematoma, which usually resolves spontaneously. If there would have been bleeding inside the skull i.e. in brain, there would have been episodes of loss of consciousness, vomiting and head ache. If you do not have any such problems then do not worry, you do not need to do anything. The hematoma must have resolved now. But if there is persistent headache, episodes of seizures, etc., then go for a CT scan of the head so that you do not have any doubt left in your mind.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
