Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have tiredness and headache due to tension after sex with a new partner with protection. These symptoms started immediately after the intercourse. Can the symptoms of STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) or STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) start immediately after intercourse? Can I get married?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Protected sex has least or zero risk exposure. The symptoms after protected sex are impossible as it is not a miracle or magic. It is because of anxiety and not due to STD (sexually transmitted disease) or STI (sexually transmitted infection) as you had protected sex. If you are worried, go for a test. I suggest fourth-generation HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) one and two and STD panel tests. If all non-reactive means, you are safe. Then you can plan for marriage.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
