Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a female aged 32. I just had a viral infection (not covid), and after recovering, I started experiencing headaches that come and go sporadically and multiple times every hour.

It is an intense headache (front part of the head) accompanied by tinnitus, severe earache, and extreme fatigue, meaning I have to sleep immediately. I will feel normal for a while, and then these “attacks” come back. Vision has also been flickering. Eyes feel like they have grit in them. The mouth is also dry. Recurring joint pain and tingling sensation on the face are experienced. I have had these symptoms for ten days now, but generally, they have been appearing on and off for nearly six years, usually when drinking alcohol or overeating sugar. Also, I had these symptoms when getting vaccinate. Tinnitus is at its worst when waking up.

I have been referred to a neurologist and was given painkillers called tablet Bonyl (Naproxen Sodium), which does help a little bit. Migraine medication taken before these attacks made the attacks worse.

A blood test was done yesterday, and the results are,

1) Thyrotropin [TSH] levels were 0.72 × 10-3 IU/L.

2) C-reactive protein [CRP];P values were 0.3 mg/L.

All other markers were fine too.

Can I do anything to relieve my symptoms? Will I have a normal life again? Please help me overcome this.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I do understand your concern.

These seem to be attacks of short-lasting headaches with fatigue. Do you get any nausea or vomiting sensation? Do you have any sensitivity to light or noise? Do you think it could all be related to stress?

Please share the medicine list you are taking at present.

How has your sleeping pattern been?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for your response.

There is no nausea or vomiting. Light sensitivity or sensitivity to noise is also not present. I do not sleep much generally. Maybe five-six hours if I am lucky. I sleep more now when I have these attacks, and I do not take any medicine other than melatonin sometimes.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please make sure to have at least seven to eight hours of sleep at night. In addition, do at least thirty minutes of physical workout, including ten minutes of meditation.

Have you got any computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans done?

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
