Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been suffering from a headache for one and a half months. Initially, it was full, then half-sided, and now complete again. It sometimes starts slowly and then progresses very fast. I feel very weak during these headaches, and my heartbeats become faster. I approached the nearby doctors, and I used the suggested medicines, but after the completion of the given dose, the problem was the same. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

There are three types of headaches that can affect only one-half of the head: Migraine, cluster headache, and headache associated with glaucoma (elevated intraocular pressure). So please provide me with the following details:

1. How long does the episode of a headache last?

2. Are there any tears associated with a headache?

3. Is there any blurring of vision?

I suggest the following:

1. Paracetamol 1000 mg tablet for headache.

2. What is your blood pressure reading?

3. Your thyroid hormones (TSH-thyroid stimulating hormone, free T3, free T4) need to be tested.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
