Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Since you have not mentioned in detail about the headache, it is difficult to diagnose with limited case history. However, I will try to discuss the various causes and the treatment. Temperomandibular joint disorder : Common symptoms include pain in face, jaw joint area, neck and shoulders, in or around the ear when you chew, speak or open your mouth wide. Clicking, popping or grating sounds in the jaw joint when you open or close your mouth or chew. This may or may not be painful. For treatment I suggest you take tablet Ibuprofen (pain killer) 400 mg twice a day , followed by use of moist heat or cold packs.Apply an ice pack to the side of your face and temple area for about 10 minutes. Perform this routine a few times each day. Eat soft foods. Avoid extreme jaw movements. Keep yawning and chewing (especially gum or ice) to a minimum and do not yell, sing or do anything that forces you to open wide. Tension headache: Tension headache occurs because of stress. The headache is usually present in the forehead and temples due to any stressful trigger that vary from person-to-person. Few trigger factors are inadequate rest, emotional stress, anxiety and lack of sleep. If you feel that talking causes headache, it might be a trigger. Talking to someone causes social phobia in few people. It is important to relax oneself and try meditation. For this headache treat it similarly as mentioned above. 1. Migraine: Migraine pain is moderate to severe, often described as pounding, throbbing pain. 2. Migraine headaches can last from four hours to three days and usually occur one to four times per month. 3. Migraines are associated with symptoms such as sensitivity to light, noise or odor, nausea or vomiting, loss of appetite and stomach upset or abdominal pain. I would advise you to try the treatment that I have mentioned. However, if the symptoms persist please consult a doctor nearby for further physical evaluation and treat accordingly.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
