Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My 72-year-old mother is consistently complaining about stomach pain around her diaphragm region. She also complains of constant ear and back pain resulting in headaches and limping of her heart. How do we go about this and what kind of test or scan can we run for her treatment? Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your mother seems to have more than one problem. There are a few questions that need to be answered to get a more detailed history of the nature of pain, what makes it better and what makes it worse, and if this applies to all the pains that she is getting. The pain in the stomach is it sharp stabbing, dull, or burning sensation of pain? Is it related to food? Does it radiate or go to any part of the body? Does it come on doing things or at rest? Does your mom have any changes in bowel habits? A few questions are related to back pain, earache, and headache. What are the most recent blood tests that she had? Did she have kidney and liver functions along with a full blood count? Unfortunately, without detailed information about the complaints and some investigation results, it is difficult to give a satisfactory answer. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
