Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I suffered from chills, stuffy nose, and fever in the evening around three days ago. I felt exhausted the following morning, but after eating, everything was alright. However, I began having a headache that evening which worsened when I got up, sat down, and while lying down. Also, my eyes were sore when I suddenly moved my head. After taking painkillers, the headache's intensity reduced, but it has not gone completely. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Your symptoms are suggestive of upper respiratory tract infection or sinusitis-like infective condition. So, I suggest you to follow the instructions mentioned below,

1. Take a tablet like Levocetirizine (antihistamine) for five days.

2. Avoid excess spicy foods.

3. Drink more water.

4. Do steam inhalation three times a day.

5. Gargle frequently with warm water mixed with salt.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent.

If there is no improvement then I suggest you to take a PNS (paranasal sinus) X-ray and antibiotics can be started.

I hope this will help you.

Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
