Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have headaches and blurry vision. Two areas in my head are sore to touch. It has been there for the past three weeks and worsens daily. I have attached my MRI reports. Could you please go through them?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. I reviewed the MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) reports that you have attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), and there is no gross intraparenchymal abnormality. But I would like to see the coronal images as subtle sinusitis can be missed, which is commonly associated with your symptoms. Also, do you have seasonal headaches?

I hope this has helped. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I have been worried that two sore areas on my head are tumors and meningiomas. I have been having pain exactly where I had a cyst, a brown-colored spot removed a year ago, which contained abnormal cells. Every day, the area is getting larger and more painful.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have right maxillary sinusitis. Apart from that, you would need to get a contrast MRI to see for meningeal thickening and abnormal enhancement if you had a mass excision done. Also, I would request to send your old histopathology reports from the biopsy.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
