Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had pulsating headaches in the temples of my head, and I often felt light-headed headaches. When I use a steamer, a thin watery mucus discharges from my nose, and I feel relaxed after steam inhalation. Also, when I close my eyes, I feel watery substances in my ear and ear pain. My quality of life has been destroyed for the past four years. I have had Septoplasty DNS surgery but no cure till now. Sometimes I have headaches from the frontal head and rear back. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Probably you are suffering from a sinus headache with a eustachian tube block. So use steam inhalation thrice a day for five days. I would suggest the Nasivion (Oxymetazoline) nasal spray when required and a combination of tablet Levocetirizine and tablet Phenylephrine. Also, avoid cool and carbonated drinks.

If no improvement is seen after after using these, I would suggest nasal endoscopy, tympanogram, and X-ray PNS (paranasal sinus) view. Followed by consultation with your ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist, and provide treatment accordingly.

Thank you.
