Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had sensations of tightening in my head, face, chest, and abdomen on and off several times a day. I had them last week and it lasted a couple of days and went away for a week until now. Today, I have them more. It is like a light contraction feeling that lasts for a few minutes.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. A tightening sensation requires a little more description. It is difficult to comment upon without more information. Are you going through any stress. There cannot be a single neurological cause for your symptoms. Most likely it is benign. So do not worry. But, if you could provide some more details, I can help you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your reply. I do have anxiety issues, particularly when it concerns my health, which is why this freaks me out.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. It appears to be related to your anxiety. So, nothing to worry. I would suggest you watch out for any chest pain in which case consult a cardiologist. Otherwise, these tightening sensations over the head, face, and abdomen do not mean anything. Just ignore them. I suggest taking tablet Amitriptyline 10 mg one tablet at night. I strongly feel that it can help you. Also, check online for mindfulness meditation techniques and practice them daily. You will be perfectly fine.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
