Hearing Test

Hearing tests evaluate one's hearing ability. In a hearing test, quiet and loud sounds of different pitches are played in headphones worn by the person. These sounds are played in both ears and then in a single ear at a time. Sometimes some intense dialog-rich sounds are played, and the person is asked to repeat those words or sentences. Based on these tests hearing loss is categorized as mild, moderate, moderate to severe, severe, and profound. Hearing loss up to 25% normal in adults.
