Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My mother recently had chest pain. We rushed to the hospital, and they did ECG and declared that it was acute MI. I was told that she has two blockages (right and left). A cardiologist surgeon treated her with a stent to remove the blockage in her right. She is discharged from the hospital. She is advised to come back and check when the left blockage can be cleared. I have attached the reports for your reference. Kindly review the reports and provide your opinion on the same.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly checked all the attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) reports. Your mother experienced acute myocardial infarction nine months ago due to a blockage of the right coronary artery, which supplies the right and lower parts of the heart. That is why the echo (echocardiogram) report shows weak muscle movements in these parts, and the total pump efficiency is affected slightly (EF 50 %). Also, the coronary angiography shows two lesions in the left arteries that require intervention soon. The main risk factors for this heart condition are hypertension and may be high lipid profile, which needs to be controlled. Please provide me with your mother's medications and the lipid lab work if you have them.

Thank you.
