Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A few days back, my friend had severe pain in his arm and sweated a lot. He consulted a doctor who took a few tests and ECG and was diagnosed with heart attack. I would request you to go through his reports and prescription and advise on treatment.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through all the attachments (attachment removed to protect patient identity). ECG (electrocardiography) is fine without any significant abnormalities. But based on his symptoms, there remains a possibility of a heart attack. So he should undergo further evaluation. His advised treatment is on the line of a heart attack only and should be continued until we confirm the cause or rule out cardiac problems. So to rule out the possibility of blockages, he should first undergo echocardiography. If the echo is normal, then she should undergo CT coronary angiography to rule out the possibility of minor blockages in the arteries (which cannot be picked up on echo). If the echo is abnormal (which means there are major blockages), then he will need conventional angiography to diagnose and treat those blockages. His blood investigations are also fine. So continue the medications as advised and undergo further investigations like echocardiography and others, as I mentioned above.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
