Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a heavy feeling over the chest frequently. Sometimes, I also have pain near my left ribs when I move my hands. Whenever I stand up, little pain or crushing pain happens and disappears suddenly. I have done endoscopy for the stomach. I have hyperacidity and H.pylori infection. Also, my endoscopic reports showed me red spots over the food pipe. I have grade A acid reflux. Why is it happening in me? Is it related to the heart? Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). You have reflux esophagitis with antral gastritis. Please say about your drug history and sent it. Proper treatment is required for eradicating the H.pylori infection.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am attaching the medicine receipt prescribed. After taking it, I got some relief. But I started to have pain again. The pain comes suddenly and goes suddenly. It is more during anxiety, and the pain is present only in the center of the food pipe. Before two years, for this problem, I did ECG, heart sonography and TMT. The results and my blood reports came normal. Recently, I did a thyroid test, and it was also normal. I always do exercise daily, and this pain comes and goes away suddenly. How to treat this problem? Does it have any relation to the heart? Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the medicines. As you are suffering from antral gastritis due to H.pylori infection, it has two therapies. It is called triple therapy and the second one called quadruple therapy. The doctor has prescribed you triple therapy, and the dosage is not clear. You have to take those medicines for 14 days continuously without fail. It is compulsory. Since there is gastritis, it takes some time to get cured, and it depends on your diet.

Stop smoking and drinking alcohol if you have the habit. Do not take dairy products and fried foods. Always take fiber diet with green leafy vegetables, legumes like daal, pulses, gram, soybeans more in your food. Try to reduce your anxiety as it can increase gastritis more. Please say about the dosage you are taking.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am taking the dosage as per the prescription. Also, the doctor prescribed me Nexito plus recently for anxiety. Can I take it or not? I am taking only milk. Can I take it or not? Please suggest me the best medicine to get cured.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Taking triple medicine is best, and you can take Nexito plus (Escitalopram). It decreases your anxiety. Avoid taking milk. Follow the above instructions and do not take any other medicine except this. It will take some time to get cured.
