Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I feel difficult to sit for long periods and small pain started. How to identify piles (hemorrhoids)? I had this same issue one month before also. Please help. I am currently on Clotrimazole.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. According to your statement, you have been suffering from feeling of difficulty to sit for long periods and starting of pain.

According to the picture (attachment removed to protect patient identity), that is provided here you are suffering from piles (hemorrhoids). Your query is how piles can be identified? Identifications of piles (hemorrhoids) are given below.

Piles is a hard, painful lump that appears at the anal verge. It causes bright red blood after defecation. Pain occurs during passing stools. The surrounding area of anus may become itchy, red, and sore. You will still feel the need to defecate after going to the toilet. You will find some slimy mucus on the toilet paper after wiping. From the above-mentioned criteria, you can identify piles (hemorrhoids).

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Can this be confirmed as piles (hemorrhoids)? Please advise me a medicine for this. Now I am using Clotrimazole. For the last two days, I am applying the same, but no result. Please advise.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, I think that maybe piles (hemorrhoids). You can use Hydrocortisone cream on your affected area two to three times daily with taking plenty of fluids intake and high fiber foods with green leafy vegetables.

In case of constipation, take Lactose syrup five to six tablespoons at bedtime. If medications failed to relieve your sufferings, then surgical intervention is the treatment of choice.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
