Patient's Query

I am 20 years old, never been majorly sick or had any issues when it came to getting physicals, but recently I have noticed that, I have blood in my stool. I do not have any pain nor agitation regarding my butt. But it’s simply not having any solid stool in a week or so, and it varies from very little to sometimes an alarming amount. I have no pain just simply that I know this cannot be good.

very good day to you

I can understand your problem. but I would like to ask you if you can describe your bowel movements in more detail. meaning how many times do you go to to the washroom and how is the the texture of the stools meaning are the hard or soft. do you need to strain at stools meaning do you have to apply pressure to pass stools. if your stools are hard and you have to apply strain to pass them then most likely the bleeding is because of the strain that you have applied.

when we apply strain we damage a part of the anal mucosa which leads to bleeding. if the stools are not hard and you do not apply strain then the bleeding can be because of benign condition known as hemorrhoids with basically means bleeding from the veins in your rectum and anus. it's not a serious condition and can be treated with medication or surgery if it is debilitating. do get back to me with the details of the issue and we can figure out a solution to it. have a good day
