Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have an inflamed skin rash on my torso's right side, probably from an insect or bug bite. The pain is radiating around the area. It started about six days ago. Kindly advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have Herpes zoster, a viral infection. First, check your PPBS (postprandial blood sugar) and creatinine value. If these are within normal range, take Tablet Valacyclovir 1 gm three times a day for one week. Drink lots of fluids. Use Ointment T-bact (Mupirocin) twice a day. Use Lox (Lidocaine) 2% jelly for burning sensation SOS (if necessary). For pain, you will require a Pregabalin drug but start that only after speaking to a doctor directly. Please let me know if you have any health issues and whether you are on any medications (to check drug interaction with Valacyclovir). Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
