Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from an awkward spot on my lower lip. It is like a basic symptom of lip cancer. Please give your valuable suggestion.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your case. There are many causes and clinical presentation of lip cancer. You should provide a complete history of the lesion for how long it has been there and also send picture as well. Or please see dermatologist personally.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

It was a week ago and that spot, it came unexpectedly. Please review the picture carefully and please say is it normal or what?

Answered by Dr. Shanza Ikram

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

In my opinion, it is not a cancerous lesion. It is simply infective lesion which will go away with the following treatment. Tablet Acyclovir 400 mg three times a day for seven days. Apply Fusidic acid cream two times a day for seven days. Drink plenty of water.

Probable diagnosis

Herpes labialis.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
