I have high blood pressure for a week now. I have the highest blood pressure of 175 by 100 mm Hg and it is not getting down to 130 by 90 mm Hg. I can feel my heart beating so fast and I get nervous. Sometimes, my legs lose their strength and started to shake. Sometimes, I have a headache and it radiates to the neck and back. I cannot sleep at night and at the daytime, I feel sleepy. What to do? What is the problem with me? What are the foods to be avoided? What are the medicines to be taken? Please suggest. Thank you.
Having a blood pressure of 175 by 100 mm Hg is high and the symptoms are attributable to anxiety. So I advise you to check your blood pressure at rest and after emptying your bladder. You should decrease the content of salt intake, pickles, and canned food. You need to consume more green leafy vegetables and nuts. Do not eat baked foods and fried items. If the blood pressure is persistently high for more than 160 mmHg, you can take either Telmisartan 40 mg or Amlodipine 5 mg once daily. You need to take a tablet of Petril Beta (Clonazepam and Propranolol) and it helps in controlling anxiety, sleepiness, and blood pressure. Try to do meditation and yoga. It helps you a lot.
