My mother is not feeling comfortable like sometimes, she is feeling very hot sometimes feeling cold. She is not sleeping in front of a cooler or AC. She is taking steam regularly. She is taking the below medications regularly:
1) Sompraz 40.
2) Telvas-AM 40.
3) Broclear.
4) EZ.
Now the echocardiogram and TMT report have not detected any heart-related disease. She is not sometimes feeling comfortable breathing. She has blood pressure fluctuations. Kindly give your opinion.
From how many days is she having these symptoms? You say breathing problem. Does that mean feeling breathless? Is she having a fever or loss of smell or soreness of the throat? How much was the blood pressure measurement checked up recently? Please reply to the above questions so that I can guide you better.
Hi doctor,
Thank you.
The breathing problem is not there continuously but has the problem for approximately 15 days. She is not having a fever or loss of taste. I have just checked her blood pressure. I have given medicines after consultation with a cardiologist. He also found the echocardiogram and TMT report negative. But she is having uneasiness and discomfort. Kindly give your opinion.
What is her oxygen saturation measured with an oximeter? What is her blood pressure value? Was there any recent contact with the COVID patient? Is there any cough present? Please answer the questions so that I can guide you accordingly.
Hi doctor,
Her BP is 151/85. She has a cough. I have measured the SpO2 level two days back, and it is 99 and 97. She has not contacted any COVID patient. But she has already taken COVID-19 medicine before 20 days. Kindly help.
Her blood pressure is high. Is she recently diagnosed with hypertension or taking medicine before also? She already took medicine for COVID-19 means was she tested positive for COVID-19 infection? Cough is present for how many days? Allow her to remain in a standard ventilated room (no air-conditioner or cool air). Is she taking any cough medications like antibiotics or cough syrup? Please answer the questions so that I can guide you accordingly.
Hi doctor,
Thank you.
She is taking medicine regularly for BP. She has tested many times for COVID but has not got a positive report. She has taken medicine for COVID as a precaution as per the doctor's advice. She is not taking any antibiotics for a cough. I hope the cough is present for the last ten days. Kindly give your advice.
So uneasiness might be because of high blood pressure. You mention her oxygen saturation is 97 to 99, which is normal and fine. It might be it is a mild upper respiratory tract infection.
I would suggest you the following:
1) Take BP (blood pressure) medicine regularly and monitor BP.
2) Avoid the use of an air-conditioner or cooler. Instead, be in a well-ventilated room.
3) Take cough syrup and antibiotics if the cough is wet.
4) If there is a nasal block, then do steam inhalation twice a day.
If symptoms do not go away with the above measures or any new symptom shows up, better visit a local doctor for further guidance and care. I hope this was helpful.
