Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a problem. Can anyone help? It is just when I talk, even when it is dead quiet around me my voice will get progressively louder. And by the middle of my conversation, I will be nearly shouting. I do not understand or know why and it is affecting my daily life. It happens when I am at school, work, talking on the phone, or even talking to myself (I am a writer and I will say my character's lines out loud to see how they sound). Today I got called into my boss's office about it. Is there something wrong with me? I do not have the money to see a doctor or psychiatrist about it. Does anyone know?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

One of the reasons for loud volume while talking is hearing loss. Some mild hearing loss is not so evident to the person and usually, one of the first things a person does is speak loudly. To be sure about it you will need to get yourself examined by a specialist. Other causes can be getting into your characters makes you excited and that excitement reflects in day-to-day things. Or you get easily annoyed or irritated due to others and raise your voice to them. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
