Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a hormonal imbalance. My LH hormone remains high. How to reduce it?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

LH (luteinizing hormone) is a hormone that is released by the pituitary gland. Normally, their level remains low before ovulation and they get raised suddenly causing ovulation. It also helps in releasing testosterone. It results in causing acne, facial hair, and imbalance of FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) leading to irregular menstruation. This imbalance of hormones is commonly seen in PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease). It can be managed naturally through ayurvedic medicines and yoga.

The Probable causes

The most probable cause is PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease). Avoid eating excessive spicy, fried, and oily junk foods. It also occurs due to a lack of physical activity.

Investigations to be done

Before starting treatment, you can check your LH (luteinizing hormone) and FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) levels. You can do an ultrasound pelvis to rule out PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease).

Treatment plan

You can do regular exercise and yoga. You can take antioxidants like Omega-3. You can take Ashokarishta (Ashoka, Guda, Amla) one tablespoon twice a day and Rajahpravartini vati one tablet twice a day.

Regarding follow up

Have a follow-up after 15 days and avoid eating spicy and fried junk foods. Eat green leafy vegetables and fibrous foods.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
