Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I drank a good amount of water (five to six bottles), but I only peed like six or seven times. Three of those times barely, almost none, came out. I woke up this morning having the urge to pee, and when I did it, I still feel like I could have peed a lot more. I went out this morning and came home rushing because I needed to pee, but it was the same thing. Since then, I have been peeing very little amount considering I drank a lot of water. Usually, when I drink that much I would pee a lot, but I do not know what is happening. I just recently drank another bottle of water, but I still do not feel like peeing? I am scared. I am not experiencing any pain. The only thing I have been feeling is tightness around my bladder. But, everything else is fine, and I can eat, drink, work out, etc.

What could this be?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  1. Usually, the amount of urine passed is not proportional to the water consumption.
  2. The body can absorb water from the urine in the kidneys. Hence, the amount of urine is monitored by the body using hormones.
  3. Because of the urge and the pressure application you are having the tightness. So, do not worry.
  4. Take the adequate amount of water and fluids to maintain the hydration of the body. I suggest a uroflowmetry to identify the flow.
