Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 28 years old. Since a few days ago, there have been hyperpigmented markings and dryness around the area of my waist where the elastic or waistband of my lowers comes, and I have been experiencing itching there for about two months. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It is dryness with superficial fungal infection. I suggest you follow the suggestions listed below.

  1. Apply Ketoconazole lotion 20 minutes before bath for 20 days.
  2. Tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night after food for seven days if itching is present.
  3. Cetrimide soap (Ketoconazole) for bath for one month.
  4. Apply Cetaphil cream (moisturizer) immediately after bath.
  5. Tablet Antoxid HC (multivitamins) once daily after breakfast for 30 days.
  6. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions.
  7. Avoid tight or occlusive wear.
  8. Wear loose, comfortable, and thin cotton clothes.
  9. Avoid friction.
  10. Avoid activities that cause sweating.
  11. Keep the area clean.

Follow up after one month.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
