Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a complete hysterectomy 30 years ago and I am really worried about it. It hurts and I am not feeling good.I hope you can help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It could be a local vaginal infection or a sexually transmitted infection. It is better to have a local vaginal swab and have strict hygiene. Use soft cotton undergarments. Use only water to clean the local area. Avoid transmission of sexually transmitted diseases by using condoms. Collect the swab report and discuss it here or with your local gynecologist. After collection, I suggest you take tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily and tablet Metronidazole 400 mg three times a day for seven days. In case of pain or irritation, take tablet Ponstan 400 mg (Mefenamic Acid) for three times a day and also have a salt bath. (Consult a specialist doctor, talk to him or her, and start the medicines with their consent).

Best of Luck.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
