Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My partner and I had intimate contact two and a half months back. However, we did not have intercourse. I was not sure if his ejaculation had touched my body. Also, I took an I-pill 11 hours after the contact. I got my period after 11 days, which was very light, and lasted for 17 days. I took the tablet Trapic MF to stop the period. Also, I did not have periods since then. Is there any risk of pregnancy?

Kindly guide.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for trusting us. I understand your concern and would be happy to help.

I have reviewed your reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Your symptoms can be due to a hormonal imbalance or pregnancy. The endometrial thickness in your pelvic ultrasound is suggestive of early pregnancy. I suggest you get a beta-hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) test done to rule out pregnancy. Also, do get a thyroid profile test and hemoglobin test done.

I hope this helps.

Do feel free to ask for more information.

Thank you.

Good luck.
