Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 25 and I take I-pill four to five times a month. Would there be any side effects of it later? Is it safe to consume I-pill so frequently?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Taking I-pill frequently is not good as it is a hormonal pill and can cause hormonal changes in the body. An emergency pill should be used in an emergency only. Please opt for other methods of contraception.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I want to ask one more thing. I have a foul odor from my vagina and I previously had a yeast infection too. I had taken medicines for the same. But, the smell persists and it gets itchy at times too. Can you tell me a way to get rid of the smell?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This could be because of hormonal changes or some vaginal infection which is causing the problem. Please get yourself checked by a gynecologist internally and get a vaginal swab test done. Avoid having sex till then.

1. Wear cotton panties and loose lowers.

2. Maintain personal hygiene and take plenty of fluids.

3. Wash your private parts with normal tap water every time you use the washroom.

4. Avoid using vaginal douches and creams.

Do get back to me with reports so that I can guide you further.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I use Clean and Dry intimate wash every day. Is it alright to use the same?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

No, please do not use anything. First, get yourself checked by a gynecologist internally and get a vaginal swab test done to rule out the exact cause. Do get back to me with reports so that I can guide you further. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
