Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Few days back, I urinated with a lot of pressure and my urethra started to bleed. I had a surgery in my urethra to remove scar tissue, since then my flow has increased. I am experiencing sensitive pain on touching in my groin area. Please help me out.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. The surgery for the removal of scar tissue always leaves some damaged parts in the urethra. So whenever you apply more than the required pressure, it will bleed. You do not need any medications for this.

You just need some preventive measures.

1. Urinate only when you feel the urge to, never apply any pressure.

2. Urinate only the amount urine which is naturally coming. Please do not try to force out urine.

3. Take precautions while defecating also. You need to instil these habits in your lifestyle. Once you do it, you will not notice any abnormality.

If the pressure during urination is too much, I suggest you take a tablet Urimax D MR (Tamsulosin 0.4 mg and Dutasteride 0.5 mg) at night for few days. You should be fine with this. Hope this helpful. Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Regards.
