Infected eczematous dermatitis occurs when the acute eczematous eruption gets purulent discharge due to infection. The other signs are swollen skin with fluid oozing out from the skin and the development of yellow crust on infected eczema. Viruses, fungi, or bacteria can cause infected eczematous dermatitis. It is managed by taking antibiotics in case of bacterial infection. The other common triggering factors are cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption.
