Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

What are the symptoms to watch for when you have a tooth infection? I need two root canals and have four cavities.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Cavities might not be symptomatic in many cases apart from mild to moderate sensitivity. The same cavities if left in place for a longer duration without treatment, then it would go deeper or wider causing trouble. You can expect pain on a particular tooth or generalized pain. In addition ,you can also expect swelling of gums with pus discharge or swelling of face in worst case scenarios. The tooth with any sort of pain has to be looked upon for a root canal therapy initially. Upper back teeth might give you pain simulating sinusitis whereas lower back teeth come along with ear pain.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
