Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 29-year-old male. I am suffering from a right inguinal hernia for the past two months. I consulted a doctor and he asked me to go for surgery. Is it possible to cure inguinal hernia without surgery? Currently, I have consulted a homeopathy doctor and I am on medicine given by him.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

If the hernia is in first or second degree then there is a treatment. For third degree hernia, surgery is the only treatment option. At the time of pain and swelling you can take the following medicine.

  1. Varanadi kashaya (Karanja, Bael , Haritaki, Brihati) - 2 teaspoons twice a day diluted with water after eals.
  2. Vridhivadhika vati (Sunthi, Mirach, Lauh bhasma) one twice a day.
  3. Kankayan vati (Haritaki's bark, Maricha, Pippali) - one twice a day.

Try to avoid things which give excess pressure on abdomen such as coughing, laughing loudly and lifting heavy things.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
