Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old teenager. My problem is I get angry very easily and start yelling at my parents about everything nowadays. I was not like this before. I was very calm. But I do not know what is wrong with me now. I do not want to act rude to my parents, but I am doing that. I am feeling really bad after yelling at them. And I feel very angry after the fights, and it pains my head. I cannot control my rage even after the fight is over.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

First of all, prevent yourself from acting out at the time of the anger episodes. Whenever you feel like getting angry, either do reverse counting from 20 to 0 or deep breathing from your diaphragm. After calming down, log down your thoughts and retrospect them weekly. Practice relaxation techniques like breath relaxation exercise daily, as they will help you relax and eases your anxiety. Remember, every problem has a solution. You need to try solving it; help is just a step away.

Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
