Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have irregular periods with severe pain. I have a thyroid problem also. I am taking a Thyroxin tablet of 100 mg. It has been delayed for two months, and I am feeling pregnancy symptoms. What should I do? I have already consulted a doctor, and they advised me for sonography and some tests. They also told me nothing was severe, but I still suffer from this problem.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the details presented by you and also seen the report shared by you (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity)

I request you to please get the tests done again as the test report is pretty old. Further, if you are sexually active and observe pregnancy signs like nausea, tender breast, or have suffered implantation bleeding, you may be pregnant. Do a pregnancy test with the first urine of the day, preferably. Do not drink too much fluid before the test. Adhere to all guidelines written on the package of the pregnancy test. Share the test kit image once it is done. It will be even better if you can do a blood hCG test as it will tell us about the pregnancy. Also, let me know if it is a planned pregnancy or unplanned.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

The pregnancy kit also shows a double line.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

When did you do the pregnancy test? I would also like to know if you are on any additional medicine like folic acid, multivitamins, iron, and calcium.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
