Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have had irregular cycles, with a frequency of once in six months. In that case, there is all likelihood that you are experiencing hormonal imbalances and needs to rule out hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinemia, and definitely polycystic ovarian syndrome. This can be done with a hormonal profile and an ultrasound pelvis examination. Secondly, if you have been experiencing post-coital bleeding or vaginal bleeding after sex and if it is not your menses, then there are chances that you may be suffering from cervical erosions or cervicitis, which can bleed post intercourse. You shall need a speculum examination and a Pap (Papanicolaou test) smear by your gynecologist to confirm that. These can be treated with antibiotics for 15 days and abstinence for three weeks at least. Again, if you have been trying to get pregnant and if we assume that this is your menses, then get a hormonal profile FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone), LH (Luteinizing hormone), AMH (anti-mullerian hormone), serum testosterone, serum estradiol, thyroid profile, serum prolactin levels done along with an ultrasound pelvis (to check for astral follicle count and also the endometrial thickness and polycystic ovaries). Please follow-up with reports. We can go ahead from there after viewing the reports.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
