Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been having irregular periods for the past year. This month I experienced heavy bleeding with clots and cramps.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. These days PCOS is very common, and irregular periods, acne, and excessive weight gain these things are commonly seen in PCOS. Also, these symptoms are seen in thyroid disorders. As you took progesterone hormone, it might stop the bleeding for a while but after stopping this tablet withdrawal bleeding might occur. So I would suggest not taking hormonal tablets without a gynecologist's advice. To rule out PCOS and thyroid disorders please do a USG abdomen and pelvis scan, and thyroid profile.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
