Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had inflammation and itching on the skin of my penis and testicles for one week. The skin is warm, and I can see pus discharge. I have not seen any improvement even after applying the vitamin A and D ointment. My current medications include over-the-counter drugs and pain relievers. Please help.

Hello,

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I had COVID-19 a week ago, but skin irritation and itching occurred after the symptoms of COVID-19 subsided. I am only taking pain relievers.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I think you are suffering from either dermatitis or fungal infection. However, to confirm or rule out fungal infection, I suggest you undergo a potassium hydroxide (KOH) test. If you cannot undergo the test, I suggest you apply a mixture of Ketoconazole and Mupirocin creams twice a day and keep the area clean and dry. I suggest you also add Beclomethasone or Mometasone to the mixture and apply it for two to three days. I suggest you take tablets Cetirizine or Levocetirizine at night to overcome itching.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
