Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am feeling slightly itchy on penis. I am worried because I have once had unprotected sex. I am fine from a long time, and the itching is very mild but my mind goes there again and again.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  1. Is there any active skin lesion?
  2. Is it associated with discharge?
  3. Do you have an itching/burning sensation anywhere else on the body?

Please answer the above-mentioned questions and kindly send an image for better understanding.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Although the itching is above the skin and seems drier, I am sending you a picture. Nowhere else in the body is any itching there. I am attaching a picture.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed the clinical photographs attached (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It looks like balanitis. Small skin-colored lesions (outgrowth) are nothing but Fordyce spots which are basically prominent sebaceous glands. So, no treatment is required for the same. For itching, consider the application of the following:

  1. DK gel (Miconazole 2 %) twice daily over the penile area.
  2. Fucidin cream (Fusidic acid 2 %) twice daily.

Clean the area with lukewarm water.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

There are white flakes of skin. Itching is very mild. I hope this is nothing serious. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

There is nothing to worry about. Just apply the two creams suggested above twice a day.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
