Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have white itchy spots on my penis and on its skin inside. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern but there is no attached photograph in your message. I need to see the picture of the affected area to make appropriate diagnosis and to suggest you the appropriate treatment. Kindly send the same.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Recently I had unprotected sex with my partner and since then (two days), I have itching. No buring during urination.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. Thanks for the sharing the picture (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It is called candidal balanoposthitis, a superficial fungal infection, spread via sexual contact. Need to treat both you and your partner at the same time. Please take following medications: 1. Tablet Fluconazole150 mg one tablet today and one after one week, so take total four tablets. 2. Tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg twice a day for one week. 3. Candid cream apply twice a day for two weeks.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Is there anything to worry or precautions? Are you pretty sure about the medication you have prescribed?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. Nothing to worry as such. And yes, this is candidal balanoposthitis, so, yeah the treatment is accordingly prescribed. You will get better with these soon. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
