Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 25 years old and have had dry skin. Now there is a black dry skin patch on my chest with itching and pimples. Should I be concerned about it? Do I consult with the doctor? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I would suggest the following:

  1. Avoid the use of any antiseptic lotion in that area.
  2. Apply a combination of Provate S (Betamethasone and Salicylic acid) lotion with liquid paraffin in equal amounts to the area three times in a week.
  3. Use Steiprox (Ciclopirox) shampoo .
  4. Use Cutivate ointment (Fluticasone propionate) twice daily for ten days.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
